The book is rather elementary and can leave the reader saying, "duh" several times. With that being said, I would suggest this book be appropriate for an undergraduate level course in health psychology rather than graduate level, particularly the doctoral level.
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. I don't like the way the chapters are designed for the searches I'll be spending 20 minutes trying to find one vocabulary term, because the material repeats a lot halfway through, but the search function only works for the current chapter you're on. Like any textbook, you only buy it because your class demands it, and otherwise you could have youtube'd such basic information.
Besides being a watered-down version of medical psychology texts mixed with reviews of Psy, it was ok. One person found this helpful. It worked very well. I loved it and got me through the class. From what I can tell it was a publishing error -- the binding looks in tact but here I am in the middle of my class and I am missing part of my text book. I reviewed this book to teach from in one of my undergraduate classes, and I found myself choosing another book.
This one felt light on content, and ultimately I would have had a hard time creating a full lecture from the material. Great book even though I needed it for school. Still good read.
